Vietnam Cafe has been described as one of the most well-known Vietnamese restaurants in Kansas City. Many foodies love this place and it’s constantly busy during peak hours. That’s a testament to the eatery’s amazing dishes!

Broken Rice Restaurant
Broken rice is a dish with small grains of rice and grilled pork ribs, shredded pork, egg, and pickled vegetables. As you might guess from the name, Broken Rice Restaurant specializes in exactly this. It is not a common dish in America but is actually a staple in Vietnam. We recommend that you definitely give it a try if you’re looking to spice up your usual flavors.
As a matter of fact, broken rice is a common breakfast dish in Vietnam. So, if you come here in the morning, you are really doing things the Vietnamese way. (However, feel free to visit any time as this restaurant is open until 10:00 pm.)
My Xuyen Vietnamese Cafe
My Xuyen is a restaurant started by a couple who describe themselves as having “one foot in America and one foot remaining in Vietnam.” It is truly a fitting description. While the eatery is located in Missouri, the atmosphere inside has a very fresh Vietnamese feel to it. Many of the dishes draw inspiration from street vendors in Vietnam. So, you can essentially get an authentic dining experience without having to leave the country.
We highly recommend the restaurant’s banh mi sandwiches as they are unmatched and very popular!Back to all posts
